The Entrepreneurs Center Receives the Jonathan Dayton Public Partner Award

On May 20, 2014, at the annual meeting of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, The Entrepreneurs Center was awarded the Jonathan Dayton Public Partner Award.

The Entrepreneurs Center received the award for being “a public-sector organization that has partnered with the Chamber to improve the business environment for its members and the community in 2013.”  Nominations were submitted by Chamber staff to an evaluation committee along with the criteria that include, “An organization that—–

  • Supports the Chamber’s mission and vision;
  • Has a direct impact on the success of member businesses;
  • Has an overall impact on the success of the community; and
  • Supports Chamber staff in the execution of initiatives and plans.”

The award was accepted by TEC’s president, Barbara Hayde who accepted the award on behalf of the Board of Trustees, TEC’s cadre of willing volunteers and TEC’s most deserving staff.

Presented since 2003, TEC joins a prestigious list of former recipients including, Five Rivers Metro Parks, Sinclair Community College, Wright State University and Montgomery County.
