Hayde Recognized as 2013 Women of Influence

TEC Dayton Archive

The YWCA Dayton honored TEC President Barbara Hayde at its annual Women of Influence Awards Luncheon on March 14, 2013 at the Dayton Convention Center.

Women of Influence Honorees are women in the greater Dayton community who have made a positive influence on the lives of others–as part of their careers, as volunteers, as role models or mentors.  Nominations were solicited from the community and the honoree was selected by a panel of community leaders.

A lifelong Dayton resident, Barbara has been an advocate for promoting the Dayton Region, including efforts to better serve small business, women, and minorities.  She served as President of Ohio Works, a company that transitioned single women from welfare to work.  She also promoted the region at the Dayton Convention and Visitors Bureau and now, as President of The Entrepreneurs Center.

Barbara serves on various boards such as Montgomery County’s Dayton Metro Library, Technology First and ESP BizNet Board.  She was also a founding board member of the Minority Economic Development Council (now Minority Business Partnership). Barbara was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2011 by the University of Dayton’s Crotty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Congratulations Barbara!
